I read your book to an elderly lady with severe dementia. She listened intently, especially to the descriptions of your dogs. It was a very moving story, and very well written. It was so rewarding to hear her get on the phone to her daughter and tell her, “Becky’s here and she’s reading a good book about a seeing-eye dog.” She usually struggles with even placing a call, or even using her speech, and she lives in a nursing home where the nurses usually have to place calls for her. Thank you for sharing your amazing story. It has touched our lives.
